From the airport
Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is just a few miles southwest of downtown. Here are your main options once you land.
Available curbside at Exit Door 6 in Baggage Claim on a first-come, first-serve basis. For prearranged pickups, taxis can meet you in the short-term parking lot.
Both rideshare apps operate at MYR. Pickups and drop-offs are in the designated commercial lane across from Door 5. Request your ride after collecting luggage.
Route 15S connects MYR to downtown Myrtle Beach, Market Common, and points south. Budget-friendly at $1.50/ride and runs 7 days a week.
coastrta.com →Several shuttle companies serve MYR, including AB2C Shuttle. Pre-booking is strongly recommended, especially for groups or early/late flights. Access via Exit Door 6.
ab2cshuttle.com →Eight national rental car brands operate from MYR's on-site Car Rental Facility, open daily until midnight. Ideal if you're planning to explore beyond the boardwalk.
flymyrtlebeach.com →Many hotels along the Grand Strand offer free or low-cost shuttle service to and from MYR. Contact your hotel directly when you book to confirm availability and reserve a spot.
Public transit
Coast RTA is the public bus network covering Horry and Georgetown Counties — running 7 days a week, 362 days a year. Buses are air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, and ADA compliant. All buses have bike racks. A solid option for getting around without a car.
Note: The summer Entertainment Shuttle will not operate for Summer 2026 while Coast RTA updates its fixed route system. Check coastrta.com for the latest schedule details.
On-demand rides
Active throughout the Grand Strand. Download the app and request on demand. Particularly convenient for late-night rides after events on the boardwalk or Broadway at the Beach.
uber.com →Also active in Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. A solid backup option when Uber surge pricing is high — check both apps to compare rates before booking.
lyft.com →Several local cab companies operate across the Grand Strand, including Beaches Taxi and Cab Guys. Good for areas where rideshare coverage is thinner, or if you prefer calling ahead.
A local private driver service covering the full Grand Strand — from North Myrtle Beach and Little River down to Pawleys Island. Great for multi-stop trips, airport runs, or when you want a personal driver who knows the area.
